The not-yet-legible names something a system must be able to hold: a possibility that does not yet fit its categories and cannot yet answer the reasonable-later questions — is there a market? who funds it? what credential? what measurable problem does it solve? has anyone done this before? Those questions are lethal when asked too early. So the model draws a line it usually blurs: something can be poorly understood without being illegitimate.
Not endorsement — non-elimination
The obligation attached to the not-yet-legible is modest and precise. The system does not have to endorse an unfamiliar idea, project, field, or life path; it only has to avoid prematurely eliminating it. This is why standing includes the right to remain temporarily unplaced, and why the right to create without an immediate social purpose matters — existence-permission and large-scale support are different things.
